Books for Bikes Drawing (Grades 6 & under)
May 1-30
Win a new bike! Every time children read for an hour during the month of May, they can fill out an entry form at any library branch and be entered into a drawing to win a new bike and bike helmet.
Bikes and helmets provided by the Friends of the Bay County Libraries.

Kids’ Maker Club (Grades 3-6)


NEW makerspace program! Make, build, craft, and explore! Participate in a variety of open-ended activities with emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM).

Children’s Book Week Performers
 Bubbleman (Children + Family)RoBubblemann Loyd “The Bubbleman” has performed his bubble magic for over 25 years. This 45 minute program is designed to show the joy of exploring the science of Bubbleology. Ron creates big bubbles, square bubbles, caterpillar bubbles, merry-go-round bubbles, and much more.

Read Off Your Fines (Grades 6 & under)

Before Summer Reading Program begins, children have the opportunity to eliminate fines!
For every twenty minutes of reading or listening at the library, overdue fines on any one returned item will be eliminated (lost/damaged items do not apply). Staff will read aloud during the first twenty minutes. After that, children may read on their own. Free snacks provided. Drop in anytime during the programs.
