Canoeing and Kayaking through Michigan and Wisconsin with Doc Fletcher
Michigan author Doc Fletcher presents his “Canoeing & Kayaking through Michigan & Wisconsin” slide show. The show is an hour-long photographic journey down selected rivers from each of his two books, “Weekend Canoeing in Michigan” (2008 release) and “Michigan Rivers Less Paddled” (2009), and a sampling of rivers from his upcoming book about Wisconsin. You’ll take a virtual trip down each river that includes the river’s “degree of difficulty,” float time, obstacles and key landmarks encountered, and what makes each river uniquely FUN! Histories of nearby towns (with the local Detroit Tiger radio affiliates) are discussed and tales are told of a local, old-time, tavern in that town – a place to relax and relive the day’s river adventure.  A “free canoe/kayak trip” will be raffled off at the end of the program!
