How do I find something to read?

Many people are contented browsing library shelves for books, magazines or newspapers to read.  Or, you can search our collection on the Library Catalog, which includes other local libraries as well as ours, by title, author, subject or keyword(s).  If you do not find what you are looking for on the Library Catalog, you can search the Michigan Electronic Library catalog (MelCat), which includes collections from many libraries across the state. All of the branches and the bookmobile have staff available to help you find material or advise you on how to find books of a particular genre, similar to favorites you have already read, or about subjects of interest.
