BOARD OF TRUSTEES

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

June 30, 2005

Ella Jane Martini, Vice Chairperson, called the Special Board meeting of the Bay County Library System Board of Trustees to order at 5:05 p.m. on June 30, 2005 in the County Commission Chambers, County Building.

Roll call present:  Derald Adcock, James Davison, and Ella Jane Martini

Other:                    Georgianne Adcock, Kevin Ayala, Jim Hammond, Fred Paffhausen and

                              Sarah Wohlschlag

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

No public input.

CLOSED SESSION to discuss the ratification of labor agreements for PERA locals 612 and 1203 bargaining agreement (as provided for under PA 267 of 1976)

Motion by J. Davison, seconded by D. Adcock, to adjourn for Closed Session at 5:06 p.m. 

Roll call:  D. Adcock –– yes; J. Davison – yes; E. J. Martini – yes.  Motion carried.

Trustees returned to open session at 5:44 p.m.

Motion by J. Davison, seconded by D. Adcock, to approve the contracts of PERA Locals 612 and 1203.  Motion carried.

J. Hammond called for a point of order that the board designates a signatory for the contract.  Trustees, by unanimous consent, authorized Ella Jane Martini to sign both contracts.

OTHER

National City Bank property exchange – Fred Paffhausen asked the board to authorize Ella Jane Martini to sign the documents transferring the vacated library building property to the City of Pinconning in exchange for the National City Bank property. 

Motion by J. Davison, seconded by D. Adcock to authorize Ella Jane Martini to sign the documents for the transfer of property in Pinconning.  Motion carried.

Motion J. Davison, seconded by D. Adcock, to adjourn the meeting at 5:46 p.m.  Motion carried.
