| From simple "ready reference" questions ("Who won the World Series in 1951?"*), to more involved information needs; from requests over the phone, in person, or via our website form, all our branches provide general reference service, ranging from a very basic level at our smaller branches, with their core collection of reference books and internet access, to a much more comprehensive level at our primary reference center, the Bay City Branch, with its large reference collection, internet access, and staff of reference librarians. |

| The Bookmobile makes stops at over 40 locations throughout Bay County, bringing the library to residents who do not live near a branch. For a complete schedule please see the Bookmobile Program details. |
| Computer Lab & Classes |
The Bay County Library System computer lab is currently housed at the Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library. The lab contains 20 workstations (plus an instructor's station) and is open to the general public during regular branch hours (see hours located in the menu to the left) unless it is scheduled for training classes. | LearnATest, from Learning Express Library, offers you online practice for a variety of tests including several Civil Service exams (including Postal Worker, Police Officer, Federal Clerical, etc.), as well as the ASVAB, GED, SAT, GRE, and others. More info |

The Bay County Library System Outreach Services are temporarily discontinued.
Runners For Readers:
Our Outreach Services Department provides library materials to homebound individuals through the Runners For Readers program. Volunteers deliver library materials to the eligible patron's home. Eligible patrons may be:
- Disabled
- Infirm
- Chronically ill
- Temporarily ill or injured, without a convenient means of receiving library materials.
