Scheduled classes are listed on the Calendar of Events. Demand for these classes is high. Be sure to call early to get registered.

We offer computer classes in the computer lab, which is located on the second floor of the Wirt Library. Space is limited. If you are interested it is a good idea to call and register early.

The Bay County Library System partners with Delta College’s Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center in offering a “Business Start-Up Seminar,” which is held in the Kantzler Community Room at the Wirt Library.

For those who are interested in learning how to research your family history, we partner with the Bay County Genealogical Society in offering  beginner genealogy classes.

Literary Elements Poster

Summer reading is not just for our youth – you can be rewarded for your reading, too! Complete the adult reading log by reading for 8 hours. Return your log and have your name entered in a system-wide grand prize drawing for an iPad Mini. Each branch will award one prize of a Kindle HD.

Do-All LogoSchool Supply Drive

The Bay County Library System will again partner with Do-All, Inc. and other community organizations and businesses in efforts to collect new school supplies and backpacks. These new school supplies and backpacks will be distributed by Do-All, Inc. to families facing financial hardship in Bay County. Drop off your donations at any BCLS branch.




2014 Michigan Activity Pass

MAP logoBeginning May 24, library users with a valid library card from Bay County Library System can print a pass, either from home or at the library, to one of the nearly 60 participating Michigan arts and cultural organizations including museums, nature centers and historical sites at http://michiganactivitypass.info. Some partners offer complimentary or reduced price admission while others offer discounts in their gift shop or exclusive offers for MAP pass holders. Each Michigan Activity Pass expires within one week from the date it is printed.
