Scheduled classes are listed on the Calendar of Events. Demand for these classes is high. Be sure to call early to get registered or click on the link (where applicable) to register online.

We offer computer classes in the computer lab, which is located on the second floor of the Wirt Library. Space is limited. If you are interested it is a good idea to call and register early.

The Bay County Library System partners with Delta College’s Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center in offering a “Business Start-Up Seminar,” which is held in the Kantzler Community Room at the Wirt Library.

For those who are interested in learning how to research your family history, we partner with the Bay County Genealogical Society in offering  beginner genealogy classes.

 

Bay Community Writing Center @ Wirt

NOW OPEN 1st & 3rd Tuesdays, 4-8 pm

Thanks to the Bay Area Community Foundation, Bay City welcomes its first community writing center! On the first and third Tuesday of every month from 4-8 pm, the Bay Community Writing Center (BCWC) provides FREE writing workshops and one-on-one tutoring at Wirt Library. The BCWC is staffed by trained SVSU Writing Center tutors. There is no need to register for the workshops in advance—just stop by!

The Bay County Library System’s popular biannual author and reviewer series returns September 22! You are invited to drop in with a lunch and your friends to Wirt Library’s Kantzler Community Room (no registration required) for these engaging presentations.

Doors open at 11:30 am; the program begins at noon. Cookies and beverages are provided by the Friends
of the Bay County Libraries.
