Scheduled classes are listed on the Calendar of Events. Demand for these classes is high. Be sure to call early to get registered.

We offer computer classes in the computer lab, which is located on the second floor of the Wirt Library. Space is limited. If you are interested it is a good idea to call and register early.

The Bay County Library System partners with Delta College’s Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center in offering a “Business Start-Up Seminar,” which is held in the Kantzler Community Room at the Wirt Library.

For those who are interested in learning how to research your family history, we partner with the Bay County Genealogical Society in offering  beginner genealogy classes.

Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of BCLS during National Library Week: Lives change @ your library
April 13-19
Patrons may enter a drawing (1 entry per day). Each branch will have a drawing at the
end of the week for a gift card. There will be one system-wide Grand Prize drawing for
a Kindle Fire.

Week long events:
– Free replacement of lost library card – ID required with current address
– Any item returned (in good condition) – all late fees waived for that item
– One free DVD/VHS rental per library card per day
– Friend’s Book Sale items are ½ price
– Food for Fines: One overdue fine will be waived for each nonperishable, shatterproof, non-expired food item that you bring in to the library. If you have any questions, please contact your branch.
