Scheduled classes are listed on the Calendar of Events. Demand for these classes is high. Be sure to call early to get registered.

We offer computer classes in the computer lab, which is located on the second floor of the Wirt Library. Space is limited. If you are interested it is a good idea to call and register early.

The Bay County Library System partners with Delta College’s Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center in offering a “Business Start-Up Seminar,” which is held in the Kantzler Community Room at the Wirt Library.

For those who are interested in learning how to research your family history, we partner with the Bay County Genealogical Society in offering  beginner genealogy classes.

*Caring for Your Collection: Preserving Family Heirlooms for Generations
Presented by the Bay County Historical Society
Learn how to create a basic preservation-minded environment and methods for storing and handling your family treasures. Discussion and hands-on examples will focus on the most commonly found heirlooms such as books, papers, scrapbooks, photographs, textiles, and ceramics. Additionally, digitization efforts and creating modern archival scrapbooks will be touched on.  Registration is required via phone or online.

2014 Michigan Activity Pass

MAP logoBeginning May 24, library users with a valid library card from Bay County Library System can print a pass, either from home or at the library, to one of the nearly 60 participating Michigan arts and cultural organizations including museums, nature centers and historical sites at http://michiganactivitypass.info. Some partners offer complimentary or reduced price admission while others offer discounts in their gift shop or exclusive offers for MAP pass holders. Each Michigan Activity Pass expires within one week from the date it is printed.
