Bay Community Writing Center

Bay Community Writing Center in Partnership with the SVSU Writing Center text logo

Housed on the second floor of the Alice and Jack Wirt Public Library and funded by the Bay Area Community Foundation, the Bay Community Writing Center (BCWC) was established with the aim of supporting writers in the area.

Its mission is to offer quality assistance with writing to all our community members through our completely free walk-in tutorial sessions with highly trained and experienced tutors from SVSU. Through one-on-one sessions focused on collaborative dialogue and a non-judgmental exchange of ideas, we aim to be an environment where everyone feels welcomed.

Tutors are available to work with you 4:00 - 8:00 p.mon the first and third Tuesday of every month. Additional workshops on special topics are held each month. View the schedule here.
