The Evening Sessions

Join us on Zoom for this virtual program! The Evening Sessions is a monthly adult program series featuring a fun and engaging mix of presentations, lectures, workshops, demonstrations, author visits, and performances on topics covering the arts, culture, history, science, and more!

Tobin Buhk talks about his book The Lonely Hearts Killers: The Bloody Passions of Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez.  In 1949, the infamous serial-killer couple of Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez were caught red-handed for a double homicide they committed in Wyoming, Michigan. They were extradited to New York on a separate charge, making them an oddity in that they were caught for one crime but tried for a different crime in a different place.
