Showers of Fire: The Annual Perseid Meteor Shower

One of the most popular and well-known meteor showers of the year are the Perseids in mid-August.  This year, the peak occurs in the late evenings of August 11 and 12 but you can watch for Perseid meteors for up to a week before and after the predicted maximum.  In this program, Delta Planetarium Manager Mike Murray will demonstrate the causes of meteor showers and how you can get the most out of this year’s display.

How to Attend

This program will be held virtually via Zoom and live streamed on our Facebook page. Registration is required and limited to 100 devices. Please only register one seat per family. The Zoom link will be emailed before the program.
