If you have a natural curiosity about the night sky, this presentation about becoming an amateur astronomer is for you!  It will cover the equipment needed, starting with affordable binoculars and moving up to more advanced telescopes, and provide practical advice on how to get the most out of them. Attendees will learn how to navigate the night sky, identify key constellations and celestial objects, and discover the best resources for stargazing including star atlases, apps and web resources. The goal is to give you a step-by-step path for beginning your journey into discovering the wonders of the cosmos.
