Blood pressure screenings are an important part of general health care and can help detect high blood pressure (hypertension). Hypertension can lead to serious health problems including heart attack or stroke. People with hypertension may not feel symptoms. The only way to know is to get your blood pressure checked. During the Blood Pressure Screening, healthcare professionals will take your blood pressure, discuss your results, answer questions, and provide resources regarding blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes.
