A hernia is a common condition where a gap in the muscular wall allows abdominal contents to protrude. It can happen in different areas of the body, but it’s most often found in the belly or groin. Some possible signs of a hernia include: a visible lump or bulge you can see or feel, aching or sharp pain in the area, a feeling of pressure or heaviness in the abdomen, pain or discomfort that worsens with various activities.
